Two Companies from The Green Way Ranked as Top 30 Semi-Finalists in Global Cleantech Cluster Association 2013 Later Stage Awards

Best in Class will be awarded to 10 companies at Corporate Cleantech Venture Day on November 20, 2013 in Lahti, Finland
Dublin, October 23, 2013— The Green Way is pleased to announce two of its member companies have been named in the Global Top 30 in the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) 2013 Later Stage Awards. The mid-to late-stage companies originate from a variety of cleantech industries, including solar, wind and clean web to lighting, energy efficiency, waste, and water.  Each company was evaluated based on their merits in technological innovation and business acumen using the Keystone Compact Method. The Global Top 10 winners will be announced at the Corporate Cleantech Venture Day in Lathi, Finland on November 20th, 2013.
The Green Way’s Nominations Include:
• Hanley Energy for Best in Clean Web/Sustainable IT • SELC for Best in Lighting/Energy Efficiency  • Episensor for Best in Lighting/ Energy Efficiency • M2C for Best in Transportation • EPS Water for Best in Water Management

“The 2013 Global Top 30 demonstrate investability, strong product differentiation, scalable business models and have secured solid market traction in their various clean technology sectors,” said Dr. Peter Adriaens, Head Judge of the GCCA Later Stage Awards and developer of the Keystone Compact™ and associated scoring method. “Narrowing down the nominations from 160 to 30 follows a detailed and robust process and analytics. The 2013 Global Top 30 some of the world’s most sought after equity investable cleantech companies based on value capture potential in their CleanTech industry sectors.”
The Top 30 semi-finalists will now be evaluated by over 30 venture capital and cleantech judges who ultimately hand-select the winners for the Later Stage Award.  With more than $3.5 billion invested in clean technology, the GCCA judges include  SJF Ventures, Blue Hill Partners, Spring Capital, Sofinnova Partners and many more.
The Green Way joined the Global Cleantech Cluster Association in 2011 to globally expand the scope and breadth of its offerings to member companies located within Ireland. The Green Way incorporates commitment from industry, state and academia – the triple helix – to progress its shared vision. Through The Green Way’s living lab, otherwise known as Dublin city and region, the consumer becomes the quadruple helix – allowing the producer to co-create and develop their product(s) in collaboration with the

The Best in Class winners will be announced at the Corporate Cleantech Venture Day on November 20th at Sibelius Hall in Lahti, Finland. This event aims to act as a meeting place for cleantech companies looking for investors and corporate partnerships.
